It has been such an asset to our project working with Neal, and his team. What we love most is how attuned they were to our goals and vision, while educating and empowering us throughout the design process so we could begin thinking creatively and applying the principles of good permaculture design ourselves. They inspired us to really listen to and respect the natural features of the land and base our entire design around that – not only creating a much better plan, but saving us thousands of dollars and likely years of headache by advising on a different house location that better respects the natural contours of the land. They are also just such down-to-earth, warm, caring people to work with that it makes the whole process that much more enjoyable. From our first meeting with them, we knew they were true visionaries. Their love for the earth and their passion for caring for her is an electric, contagious energy that has fueled our own inspiration every step of the way – making the process an exciting dance of creativity as well a practical solution for regenerating our land.

Neal and his team were fundamental in getting our project off the ground and advancing. Before working with Neal, we had spun our wheels for a couple years, unable to define the direction we wanted to take. Neal helped us define our goals and laid out a clear map of how to get there, not to mention the guidance provided on a large variety of issues that popped up along the way that only someone with his expertise can offer. We would not be where we are today without him.

We started with a dream of creating a community and retreat space where people could come to learn and heal. Neal and his team were instrumental in guiding us through the process. 7 years on, the project has exceed our wildest dreams, we have a community and abundance beyond what we ever could have imagined. Our food forests gardens and animals provide us with all we need to live well and inspire our students and guests. Most important is that we have learned about permaculture through the process and now feel fully in control of our own design.
